Dear Wife: You’re Not the Only One Holding This Together

Dear Wife: You’re Not the Only One Holding This Together
You’re not the only one holding this marriage together. Maybe you’re tired.
Not just physically — emotionally, spiritually, and quietly.
You pray, you serve, you try.
You keep the peace. You hold your tongue. You fill in the gaps he doesn’t even see.
And still, there are days when it feels like you’re the only one holding this marriage together.
If that’s where you are today, this letter is for you.
This post is all about reminding you that you are not the only one — and God sees every unseen thing you’re carrying.
I Know What It’s Like to Feel Alone in Love
I know the ache of trying to stay positive when things feel disconnected.
Of initiating every deep conversation.
Of praying with hope — but falling asleep with doubt.
I know the heaviness of smiling at church while holding back tears in the car.
Of wondering, “Am I doing this wrong?”
Of asking God, “Is it supposed to feel this lonely?”
And if no one else has told you — hear me now:
You are not weak for feeling this way.
You are not a failure for noticing the distance.
You are not broken for wanting more.
God Sees What No One Else Sees
There is nothing invisible to God.
The prayers you whisper before sunrise?
The way you choose kindness when you feel unseen?
The courage it takes to stay soft when your heart wants to harden?
He sees every single act of unseen faithfulness.
“Your Father who sees in secret will reward you.” — Matthew 6:6
God doesn’t just see your effort.
He sees your endurance.
And He holds space for your sorrow — even if no one else does.
You Were Never Meant to Carry This Alone
Maybe you’ve been holding it all together for so long that letting go feels impossible.
But God never asked you to carry it all.
He calls you to come.
To rest.
To trade the weight of your striving for the peace of His presence.
“Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28
You can lay it down.
You can let God step into the cracks you’ve been trying to patch alone.
You’re Not the Only Wife Feeling This Way
You’re not the only one in a marriage that looks good from the outside but feels fragile in the quiet.
You’re not the only one who feels more like a peacekeeper than a partner.
You’re not the only one asking God, “Is this what marriage is supposed to look like?”
Other women — strong, holy, soft-hearted women — are walking through the same silent battles.
And you’re not the only one wondering if it’s okay to admit it.
It is.
This Isn’t the End of Your Story
What feels heavy today may become the part of your story that God uses to strengthen another woman tomorrow.
The cracks you’re praying through may become the place where God pours in His grace.
The silence you hate may lead you to a deeper reliance on Him than ever before.
So keep coming.
Keep surrendering.
Keep asking.
Keep hoping.
Not because you have to carry it alone — but because you don’t.
This post was all about reminding you that you’re not the only one holding this together — and you never were.
